The Spitz and Primitive Types Group is a designation used only by the Fédération Cynologique Internationale for a group of dog breeds consisting of Spitz Type Dogs and Primitive Type Dogs. The Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI) additionally divides groups into subgroups, which the other main English-speaking kennel clubs do not. The FCI Spitz and Primitive Types Group is made up of eight different sections. *Section 1 : Nordic Sledge Dogs *Section 2 : Nordic Hunting Dogs *Section 3 : Nordic Watchdogs and Herding Dogs *Section 4 : European Spitz *Section 5 : Asian Spitz and Related Breeds *Section 6 : Primitive Types *Section 7 : Primitive Types - Hunting Dogs The FCI sorts the breeds in the group by section and country of origin as follows: ==Section 1 : Nordic Sledge Dogs==
